This year, God has taught me much about contentment.  What should we pursue?  Verse 11 below tells us…  pursue righteousness, Godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
 
 
 
1 Timothy 6:6-12
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
 
 
 
This year, I’m learning more and more each day to delight myself in the Lord.
 
 
 
Psalm 37: 4
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
 
 
 
When will you find true and lasting contentment???  …when you learn to delight yourself in the Lord. 
God has graciously given you life, breath, and all good things.  Today, have you acknowledged him?  Have you thanked Him for what he has done for sending Christ to earth and die for your sins?  Are you trusting in Christ to save you from your sins?  If you haven’t, stop right now, repent from your wicked ways and trust in Jesus to forgive you, save you, and give you everlasting life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
