The Good News of Jesus Christ

What is your FOUNDATION?

Matthew 7:24-29 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:  and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”  And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,  for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

The critical element to these two buildings was the foundation.   Both men built buildings that might have looked similar and might have been in a similar location and from all externals, were both good.  However, when the true test (judgment day) came, there was a huge difference.

So, which builder are you?

#1 The man who built on the Rock (The Word of God).  Are you trusting in Christ as your only means to be saved and are you obeying him?

#2 The man who built on the sand (his own way).  Are you living life your own way and trusting in your own good deeds to save you from the wrath to come?

Throughout my blog postings, I plan to post helpful table tennis articles as well as truths that I have been learning from the Bible.  I hope that you read them and that God works in your heart.  I truly pray that you personally will repent of your sins and trust in Christ as your only means of getting to heaven.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
The Gospel influences every area of my life - personal, table tennis, family, hobbies.  With God's help, I want to live each moment for Him.
